Loft apartment at The Crest up for auction at $2.65 mil

The 23rd April, a three-bedroom loft at The Crest located along Prince Charles Crescent, Bukit Merah in District 3, will go up for auction. Knight Frank Singapore, who is handling the sale, has put the 1,324 sft apartment on the market as a bank sale. Its revised guide price is $2.65 million, or $2,000 psf.

This is actually the third time that this unit has been auctioned. The first time was in January when the asking price for $2.8m ($2,115/sf) was set. The second auction was held in March for $2.65M ($2,002psf). Both auctions failed to attract any buyers.

The apartment on the eighth floor is a loft unit with a large living area and balcony. It also has two bedrooms and one master bedroom. This is the third listing of the property based on caveats. It was originally sold in 2018 for 2,432 million dollars ($1,832 psf).

Tricia Tang, Knight Frank Singapore director of sales and auction, says the unit is unblocked and offers plenty of light and natural views through the large floor-to–ceiling glass windows that cover the entire main living space.

She added: “The property will appeal to both investors and home owners, but especially families with young children who can enjoy the spacious outdoor areas within the development.”

The Crest, which was completed in 2017, is a 99 years leasehold development with 469 apartments spread across four low-rise five-storey blocks and three 23-storey high-rise towers. Residents are able to enjoy a number of amenities, such as a gym, BBQ pits and fitness area. They also have swimming pools, gardens with jacuzzis and jogging tracks.

Redhill MRT Station (East-West Line) is six minutes walk from the condo. Redhill Lane, the Alexandra Linear Park Connector as well as Redhill Market are all within walking range. It is only 500m to the Crescent Girls’ School in Tanglin Road.
