SingHaiyi appoints Nakano Singapore as main contractor for Sora

Nakano Singapore has been selected by SingHaiyi as the main contractor to build its new condos, including the 440 unit Sora. On April 29, a groundbreaking ceremony was held on the site.

The condo is located at Yuan Ching Road and fronts Jurong Lake Gardens. Sora, a redevelopment project of the former Park View Mansion on a 191,978-square-foot 99-year leasehold property, was purchased in July 2022 by a SingHaiyi consortium for $260,000,000. SingHaiyi (now part SingHaiyi), Chip Eng Seng, and Ho Lee Group each hold 30% of the joint venture.

Raymond Chia said in a statement to the media that “our aim for Sora is to offer its owners an exceptional lifestyle, with a fine blend between nature and recreation.” “It was an obvious choice to partner with Nakano. Nakano is known for delivering consistently exceptional quality in its works.”

Chia adds that the concept for Sora aligns with Jurong Lake District’s transformation into an integrated hub for “live-work-play-learn”.

SingHaiyi Singapore has collaborated with Nakano Singapore for the construction of Sora. This is their first project together. Kutsuzawa Yoichi said, “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with SingHaiyi to build Sora as we share a similar ethos in creating high-quality development for our clients.

Nakano Singapore is known for its notable projects, which include the 142 key luxury hotel Artyzen Singapore at Cuscaden Road. Also noteworthy are the 165 units One-North Eden and Slim Barracks Rise both located in one-north.

On June 22, the public can preview Sora’s sale gallery on Prinsep Street.
